Talismans are constructed of a solid section of California Redwood
- that
is cut and carved with hand and power tools.
- The
painting process is almost identical to Lin's shaped paintings
- with
the occasional addition of collage and found objects.

are available in many shapes, however most are approximately
- 3
1/2 inches wide by 60 inches in length with a depth varying from
3 to 5 inches.
- Four
representative pieces are shown below, however many more are
available.
